Costumed trick or treaters can visit businesses in downtown Eau Claire on Barstow and Graham Ave. from the south end by the YMCA to Madison Street. Don’t miss the side streets and West Grand Ave. as well! Children should be accompanied by an adult.

Now that Americans are more conscious about their carbon footprint, and credit is difficult to come by, will our housing habits change? Are we on the brink of a major cultural shift? International Fall Festival The International Fall Festival will be packed with wonderful music, appetizing food vendors, arts and crafts and most importantly entertaining acts. 

 The Xcel Energy World Stage includes performances by Zumba, belly dancers, and the musical “Rent”. This year we are excited to welcome the Blugold Marching band on Barstow Street Bridge.

The highlight of the day will be the RCU Parade of Nations at 3 PM.

Secretary Leinenkugel to Attend 2009 Jump-Start Awards

Secretary LeinenkugelWisconsin Secretary of Commerce Richard Leinenkugel has confirmed his attendance at the 2009 Jump-Start Awards on August 6, 2009 at 5.30 p.m. at the RCU Corporate Center in downtown Eau Claire.

His keynote speech will mark the 5th anniversary of the Jump-Start Downtown Business Plan Competition and our effort to bring new business downtown. During the previous 4 years the competition has awarded $30,000, helped 11 new businesses get started, and created 40 new jobs. You can learn the details of the competition here.
